Why fit matters

Tour players get fitted. Everyone else compromises.

Buying off the rack means picking the least-bad option. You like the head weight of one putter and the lie of another. One feels right off the face, another is the right length. Whichever you take home, you've given something up.

Each compromise costs you at address. A lie that doesn't suit your posture tilts the face. The wrong length changes how you stand over the ball. The wrong head weight upsets your tempo. So you bend your stroke to make it work, and a stroke you have to bend doesn't repeat.

Finding a putter that fits you on a shop rack is about as likely as seeing a kelpie.

  1. 1Length and gripShaft cut to your length, grip chosen by you or your pro.
  2. 2Lie angleSet from 64° to 72° to how you stand, so the face sits square.
  3. 3Head weight and balanceEight weight ports and 4,800+ configurations, from low torque to toe hang.
  4. 4Feel off the faceA saltire-milled face, with more lofts and face materials to come.
  5. →Nothing left to compensate forLess compromise. More control. Control brings consistency, and consistency holes putts.
The fit

Three ways to buy.

Shaft length and grip are highly personal, so you choose both to suit you. Buy the head and fit it yourself. Have your pro or one of our partner fitters build it. Or choose Full Build and we'll do it for you.

Full Build comes with an Accra shaft cut to your length and the P2 grip you pick, set to your lie before it ships.

The tune

  1. 1Dexterity: right or leftSet the head up for a right- or left-handed stroke.
  2. 2Address angleSet the lie from 64° to 72° in 2° steps, so the KLP sits square on the ground at address and the face points where you aim.
  3. 3The Bii SystemEight ports, each taking a 5g, 10g or 15g weight. Every move has a purpose:
  • BalanceMove weight between heel and toe to change where the centre of gravity sits against the shaft. That decides how much the face wants to twist open or closed through the stroke.
  • InertiaMove weight back and out to the edges for a head that stays steadier on off-centre strikes.
  • ImpactMove weight towards the face for a more solid, connected feel.

The mythical kelpie water spirit changes shape. So does the KLP.

Inspired by its Scottish namesake, the KLP changes to your game, with adjustable balance, weight and lie angle.

Three places to start

Low torque

Weight set so the centre of gravity sits on the shaft line. The face has very little tendency to twist, so it stays square with less work from your hands.

Suits golfers who want the putter to do the squaring, or who fight a face that opens or closes.

Face balanced

The low-torque set-up, with weight moved forward or back. Balance the shaft on a finger and the face points up.

Suits a straight-back, straight-through stroke.

Toe hang

Weight moved towards the toe. The toe hangs, and the face opens and closes through the stroke the way a traditional blade does.

Suits golfers used to a blade putter, or with an arcing stroke.

Lie and weight work together. Change the lie and you re-set the weights with it, so torque stays low. When your posture or stroke changes, the KLP is re-tuned, not replaced.

First rolls

What the testers said.

More than 25 golfers putted with the first KLP heads over summer 2026. The first was Garry Harvey, a former European Tour pro who spent 12 seasons on the tour and won the 1985 Kenya Open. He's the R&A's official engraver at the Open.

Garry Harvey on the course at a tour event, smiling, with the clubhouse behind him

"Throughout my career, I've seen and tried a lot of putters. I always look at how a putter sits at address and how it feels in the hand. I like it to sit square, and Matt and Neil changed the KLP until it fitted my eye. The sight lines are exactly where I want them, the steel face feels solid, and I've set the weights to give me the control I want. Whenever I take it out, at Archerfield or with friends, people want a go."

Where it's made

Milled in Cupar and Dundee, a short drive from St Andrews.

Golf grew up on this coast, and the KLP is made on it. Every head is CNC milled from a solid block of aluminium in Cupar and Dundee. It's anodised black in Bathgate, then assembled in Dunfermline and packed in Inverkeithing. The headcover is handmade in Stirling from Harris Tweed.

Questions

About the KLP.

What is the KLP?

The KLP is a precision putter head from The Beastii Golf Company. It is CNC milled from solid aluminium in Cupar and Dundee, anodised black in Bathgate and assembled in Dunfermline, Scotland. The lie angle and head weighting both adjust, so the putter can be fitted to how you putt.

Who is the KLP for?

Golfers who want a putter fitted to their posture and stroke rather than picked off a rack: club golfers who take their putting seriously, golfers who like to tinker with their set-up, and fitters and pros who build putters for their customers. It is made for right- and left-handed golfers.

When does an adjustable putter make sense?

When your current putter doesn't sit square at address, when the head weight or balance doesn't suit your tempo, or when you want to change your set-up as your stroke changes. The KLP is re-tuned rather than replaced.

What is the difference between Head only and Full build?

Head only is the numbered KLP head with the weight kit, T20 key and Harris Tweed headcover, for your pro, a partner fitter or you to finish with a shaft and grip. Full build adds an Accra Tour ZP shaft cut to your length (33 to 36 inches) and a P2 Aware Tour or React Tour grip, set to your lie before it ships.

What are the KLP's specifications?

Lie angle adjustable from 64 to 72 degrees in 2-degree steps with a T20 key. Eight weight ports taking 5g, 10g or 15g weights, giving 4,800+ weight configurations and 48,000 set-ups including lie. The Founders Batch head is milled from 6063-T6 aluminium, with a 304 stainless steel face at 3.5 degrees of loft, milled with a saltire cross-hatch. Low torque. Right- and left-handed. Conforms to the Rules of Golf at every lie setting.

Is the KLP a zero-torque putter?

No. We describe it as low torque. With the weights set for low torque, the centre of gravity sits on the shaft line, so the face has very little tendency to twist. You can also move weight to make it face balanced, or towards the toe for toe hang if you prefer the feel of a blade.

Where is the KLP made?

In Scotland. The head is CNC milled in Cupar and Dundee, anodised black in Bathgate, assembled in Dunfermline and packed in Inverkeithing. The Harris Tweed headcover is handmade in Stirling.

How much does the KLP cost?

Head only is £599, €829 or $899. Full build is £719, €979 or $1,099. Every price includes delivery and any taxes or duties, so there is nothing to pay on delivery. UK prices include VAT and free UK delivery. EU prices include VAT and tracked DHL delivery. US prices include tracked DHL delivery and import duties. For other countries, email hello@beastiigolf.co.uk for a delivered price. Orders ship in 3 to 4 weeks.

Can I return the KLP?

Yes. Head only can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, as long as it is unused and complete. A full build is made to your specification, so it can't be returned for a change of mind, but you can adjust the lie and weights yourself, and we'll re-shaft or re-grip it at cost if the length or grip is wrong. Anything faulty is covered by your legal rights and by our 2-year guarantee on the head. Returns are collected by DHL.

What do testers say?

Over summer 2026 more than 25 golfers putted with the first KLP heads. Rebecca, in Dornoch, said it saved her a few putts in her round. James, also in Dornoch, said the heavy head gave him calm confidence. Garry Harvey, a former European Tour pro, 1985 Kenya Open winner and Beastii's non-executive director, said the sight lines are exactly where he wants them and setting the weights gives him the control he wants.
